National Entrance Screening Test(NEST) 2021 Application Form has been extended till 20th May 2021. Exam Date has been released. The exam will be held on 14th June 2021. It will be for candidates who wish to take admission in the 5 year integrated MSc program in Biological, Mathematical, Chemical, and Physical Science offered by the participating institutes. NEST 2021 will be organized by the NISER, Bhubaneshwar and UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai.
Candidates will be required to register online on the official website to apply for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST). After registration, eligible candidates will be allotted NEST 2021 admit card on June 4, with the help of which candidates will be able to sit for the exam. The result of NEST 2021 will be announced on June 30 in the form of the merit list which will include the names of the selected candidates. Those candidates who manage to pass the online examination will be called for NEST 2021 counselling in the two universities.

NEST 2021 ELIGIBILITY
- Passed in 12th board examination or any equivalent in the Science stream in the years 2019 to 2020 from any recogniZed Higher Secondary Education Board of India.
- A score of at least 60% in the qualifying examination (12th standard). For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the required percent is only 55%.
- Candidates must be born on or after August 1, 2001. However, for SC/ST/PwD candidates, the limit is relaxed for over five years.
NEST 2021 EXAM PATTERN
For 2021, the authorities have changed the NEST exam pattern. From the 5 sections till 2020, now there will be only 4 sections in NEST 2021 paper. As per the revised NEST 2021 exam pattern, there will be no separate general section now. The marking scheme of NEST 2021 has been revised too wherein all 4 sections will have a weightage of 50 marks each, while all 4 sections will have negative marking now, unlike earlier wherein section I didn’t have any negative marking.
