The NEET 2022 is set to take place in June. The notification is anticipated to include the exact date. The NEET-UG exam was held on September 12 last year, with nearly 95 percent of enrolled applicants sitting the medical entrance exam.
Exam Date Released-
The dates for the NEET 2022 exam are yet to be released. The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health were in talks about holding NEET twice a year, however, there has been no update on this for the current year, and it is likely that NEET will continue to be held annually for admission to medical and allied medical courses.
NTA was urged to work on the NEET exam timetable at “its convenience” at a council meeting last Monday. NTA was given the task of picking a date in June between the third and fourth weeks. The National Testing Agency’s timetable for the several undergraduate exams that will be held during the summer months was also issued by the education ministry.
Exam Pattern-
The NEET 2021 exam will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, according to the examination pattern (Botany and Zoology). Each of the three subjects will be separated into A and B sections. Section A will be mandatory and will consist of 35 questions, whilst Section B will consist of 15 questions, with just 10 of them requiring applicants to respond.
Applicants will receive four points for each accurate NEET response, and one point will be deducted for each erroneous response, according to the NEET 2021 marking scheme. Questions that are not attempted, however, will not receive negative marks.
Mode Of Exam-
The meeting decided that the mode of the NEET 2022 paper would not change. The exam will be taken on paper by candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical, dental, and other programs. The one-day exam would be offered in several languages.
Age-Limit-
Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission on December 31, 2022, if they want to take the NEET 2022.
The Supreme Court has upheld the decision to extend the maximum age restriction for NEET 2022. Candidates are authorized to take the exam and be admitted despite the fact that the court’s ruling is pending.
