Studying for physics exam

Here are a few tips on how you can score better on physics-

Know the syllabus-

read the syllabus thoroughly and select resources accordingly. Do not waste your time studying unnecessary topics as they waste your time and effort. List down all the physics chapters you are supposed to study and then start your preparation. Do not start your preparation without any knowledge of the syllabus.

Read your NCERTs-

NCERTs are the base books and have to be studied thoroughly. Most of the syllabus can be covered using NCERTs and the concepts are explained in a simple manner. NCERTs will create a strong foundation over which you can further build your knowledge using supplementary books and guides for practice and concept clarity.

Give priority to high weightage topics-

I would suggest you study all the chapters thoroughly, but, if you are in a time crunch or want to study more deeply about certain topics that are more prominent in the exam, go through the high-weightage topics and thoroughly study and revise them. High-weightage topics include heat and thermodynamics, electrostatics, current electricity, rotational motion, kinematics, ray and wave optics, gravity, semiconductors, EMI, magnetism, and modern physics.

Practice & Revise-

Practice as many numerical as you can. Physics is a blend of both theory and numerical, so it is important to focus on both. Revise the theoretical part as much as possible and make sure that all your concepts are clear.
