The JEE Main exam, scheduled to be held on the 24 – 27 May 2021, has been officially postponed due to the rising COVID-19 cases in India.
On 4th May 2021, the following tweet was sent by Dr. R P Nishank, the Central Education Minister.
Earlier, the JEE Main April Session was also postponed due to the same reason. There has been no intimation of the new postponed dates. Students are advised to keep checking the official NTA website for any updates.
The first two sessions of JEE Main in the months of February and March have already been completed. The registration for the May session is yet to be announced.
What should you do during this time?
- Use your time to prepare for the exam. If you were not satisfied with your results in the previous 2 sessions, you would still have time to prepare yourself and attempt the exam. There will be 2 more sessions that will be held. Assuming that the COVID situation gets better and the daily cases fall, it can be assumed that the exam may be held in June and July. However, prior information will be given at least a month before the tentative dates. Hence, keeping this in mind, you can start to prepare more thoroughly.
- Practice mock tests on the Abhays app. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a free app called the “National Test Abhays” app. This will give free mock tests for all the students. Practice them and analyze them in the safety of your home.
- Clear your doubts on the Doubtbuddy app. This is the best-recommended app which is basically like a combination of ‘Brainly’ and ‘Scholar’ fused into one. Any question/doubt you ask will be cleared smoothly and accurately by professional tutors. The faculty consists of the best tutors, including IITians. Step up your preparation by downloading the app now.
